Overview

When you navigate the Policyholder page in your dashboard, you’ll see three actions next to each policyholder: the Details button, the Download icon (arrow down), and the Edit icon (pencil). All three actions open the same policyholder side pop-up.

Below is an example of how this side pop-up appears, followed by an image showing the location of the Details, Download, and Edit buttons.

Edit

To edit policy information, click on the pencil icon. This will direct you to the side pop-up on the Edit Policy tab. There, you are able to edit the following:

  1. Name

  2. Email

  3. Mailing Address

  4. Phone Number

Below the edit policy information section, you can edit the policy limit.

⚠️ You can only increase a policy limit.

After adding the new policy limit, you will see detailed payment information for the new limit, along with a 'Confirm' or 'Cancel' option.

The image below shows an example of a Georgia policy with a limit increasing from $10,000 to $11,000.

ℹ️ A new policy will be issued for the updated limit. This means that the new effective date is from where you changed the policy, as well as the expiration date, which is now updated to reflect the new creation date. Read our Policy Dates guide to learn more.

Download

By clicking the arrow-down icon (download button), you will be directed to the Documents tab on the policyholder side pop-up.

There are two scenarios with different interactions.

When the policyholder completes their e-signature, you will see the following options:

  1. Download Policy Documents

  2. Download Signed Application

When the policyholder has not completed their e-signature, you will have three options:

  1. Download Policy Documents

  2. Resend E-Signature Form (send to email on the policy information)

  3. Copy E-Signature Link

Details

By clicking 'Details', you are directed to the Overview tab, which displays information such as payment terms, policy dates, insured and mailing addresses, policy type, limit, and premium.

There are three other tabs from the side pop-up that are crucial for policy management.

  1. Payment Tab

  2. Renewal Tab

  3. Transaction Tab.

Payment Tab

The payment tab allows you to view the policyholder payment schedule and to update their payment method.

⚠️ You can update the payment method, from card to bank, for example. However, you cannot update the payment period (for example, from annual to monthly).

Renewals Tab

Allows the user to view renewal information when policy renewal is upcoming.

💡 Use your renewals page to manage renewals. Learn about managing renewals.

Transactions Tab

View the complete history of transactions for your client with Sola. You can copy the receipt for each transaction.
